“Chris and I met while at a local hangout called Rockett Cafe. Our mutual love of country dancing & live music brought us together. It took a while to go on our first date because every time Chris planned something, I got sent out of the state for work. When our schedules finally allowed, we took a road trip to Waco to watch our friend Canaan Bryce sing at Smiley’s Country Club. Most of the next year was spent at concerts or the mud parks on the weekends. I knew he was the one when he let my kids drive his side by side and didn’t lose his cool even when they ran into trees or got stuck in the mud. Chris proposed in our back yard the day he bought the house. He told me to come out to see the house and that he’d invited our families over as well. Little did I know, he wanted to make sure all of the most important people in our lives were there when he proposed. One year later to the day, we had the best day ever surrounded by family and friends at Shooting Star Ranch.”
